Why Locals Love Caffè Vittorio Veneto
Situated in the vibrant heart of Torino at P.za Vittorio Veneto, 2, Caffè Vittorio Veneto is a charismatic blend of bar, cocktail bar, pastry shop, and restaurant. This multifaceted venue perfectly captures the essence of Italian café culture, offering a welcoming spot to enjoy everything from a morning espresso to an elegant AperiCena.
Stepping into Caffè Vittorio Veneto, you’re greeted by a warm ambiance that effortlessly combines the lively energy of a bustling city square with a relaxed, inviting atmosphere. The spacious outdoor seating overlooking the piazza invites you to linger, sip, and savor the surrounding views while the friendly service adds a genuine touch of Italian hospitality.
For coffee lovers, this place is truly a treasure. As one delighted visitor, Sarah Soong, described, it serves “one of the best espressos” with warm and attentive service that makes every coffee moment unforgettable. Whether you prefer a brisk espresso or a creamy cappuccino, the impeccably brewed coffee here awakens the senses and sets the tone for a perfect day in Torino.
When it comes to drinks, the bar shines with expertly crafted cocktails. The Aperol Spritzer, in particular, receives high praise for its refreshing balance and vibrant flavors. Maurizio Trinchera beautifully captures the joy of their AperiCena experience, highlighting the “very tasty” Aperol Spritzer paired with a tempting buffet of delicacies including finocchio salad, caprini in salsa verde, vitello tonnato, and marinated zucchine—each dish offering a profound taste of traditional Italian summer flavors.
Lunch at Caffè Vittorio Veneto brings a satisfying casual elegance. The Milanese dish earns hearty recommendations, as noted by customer Turan BV, and the food overall leans toward a wholesome, comforting Italian style that pairs perfectly with cold beer or a glass of local wine. While not everyone found the food exceptional for a full dinner experience, the café’s menu remains a reliable choice for a relaxed meal amid the piazza’s laid-back charm. Van Bach’s review reflects this well: a “decent” late lunch, complemented by friendly (if slightly inconsistent) service and a tranquil spot watching the late afternoon light play across the square.
If your goal at Caffè Vittorio Veneto is to soak in the atmosphere while enjoying quality coffee, a spritz, or a light meal, this café certainly delivers. It’s a place where the simple pleasures of Italy—great drinks, cozy outdoor seating, and people watching—come together with authentic warmth. For those seeking an evening dinner with top-tier cuisine, it might be wise to explore other dining options in the city, but for a quintessential Torino café experience, this spot captures the city’s heart beautifully.
To visit Caffè Vittorio Veneto is to invite yourself into an authentic slice of Torino life, where every sip and bite carries a story, every glance out at Piazza Vittorio Veneto is a moment to cherish, and every interaction is infused with genuine local friendliness.

Great for spritzer or coffee and to enjoy the view. Food not great so if looking for dinner try elsewhere

Didnt stay here but had a late lunch at the cafe. It was one of the very few options serving food at 4pm. The food is decent and the lunch is quite relaxing as we sat right at the square with few people around. Service is a little wonky but nice & friendly.

We visited Caffe Vittorio Veneto at the main street of Torino for Italian lunch. The Milanese was good, beer cold and the Flam very nice. We can recommend.

Great AperiCena, Aperol Spritzer very tasty, and food great, we enjoyed very much the relaxing time enjoying the buffet tray. In Particular , the finocchio salad, the caprini in salsa verde and vitello tonnato, oh, I forgot the zucchine marinated.

Very, very good tiramisu. The aperitiv plate for €15 including a soft drink is not too bad. Very friendly staff.

Good location, very popular, relatively crowded, high quality café & restaurant. Had the venison + tuna sauce starter (surprisingly good), and the venison medallion. Hard working, fast and polite employees. Good view.
